Cadet Advisory Council -  Capt. Bill Schroder has taken over as the new Group II CAC Advisor; Capt. Schroder is with the Lakeshore Composite Sqdn, TX354 and he will be updating this site as required.

ALS - The cadet staff at TX295, Mckinney Thunderbolt Composite Sqdn have started the ball rolling for hosting our next Group II ALS, to be held at Bishop Field, about 20 miles west of Mckinney, TX.  The date set is the weekend BEFORE Thanksgiving, Nov. 19 - 21, 2010, with a back up date of Nov. 12 - 14, 2010.  Col. Tom Bishop has already given approval for use of his facilities for this event.  The ALS staff from TX262 will be working hand in hand with TX295 to put together an excellent ALS staff.  The timing for this event is excellent, as it will prepare cadets who plan on attending the Winter 2010 TX Wing Encampment as Basic Cadets.

Aerospace Education Road Trip   CONFIRMED for Aug. 3 & 4, 2010 to Sheppard AFB and Air Tractor, Inc.   Lots of great stuff lined up; Flight Sims, Control Tower visit, Parachute training, Static Displays around the base, Flight line visit,  Military Police K-9 dog training exercise, and at Air Tractor, see how an aircraft is built, from the very first piece of steel to flight test.  Air Tractor will also demo a turbine powered crop duster for us.  Check with your squadron DCC and/or Commander OR your CAC rep for details.

Summer Encampment has successfully come to an end; the 2010 summer version had over 135 basic cadets, over 20 Intermediate cadets and almost 40 Advanced cadets.  Winter Encampment is defiinitely ON for Dec. 26 - 31, 2010, which helps get that encampment under your belt in case you were serious about signing up for any of the special CAP Cadet programs.

Any senior member who would like to assist with Cadet Programs, please contact me; my info is below.  There is an opening in Group for a Cadet Activities Officer.

Remember your Core Values!!   INTEGRITY - VOLUNTEER SERVICE - EXCELLENCE - RESPECT
